This trip was an amazing experience I am more than blessed to have had the opportunity to go on. Never did I expect such a life-changing learning experience.

It touched me in ways I never expected and it changed my life and the way I view things in ways I never thought possible. In Acts 20:35 it says "It is more blessed to give than to receive". Yes, I always thought I understood this but I truly didn't until this trip.

I was able to find my greatest self with the most exceptional people. Throughout this trip I was part of adding a second floor to an orphanage, purchased and delivered groceries to a village, gave small items to the children in a local community, and helped sort medicine to distribute to those in need.

We met a lot of locals, learned their stories, laughed with them, played with the children, and made a lot of new connections. Outside of the work, we were also able to learn more about each other as a group, go on a number of unforgettable adventures, and ultimately become a big family.

I want to thank everyone who had a part in making this trip possible because in these 10 days of changing other peoples lives it also changed my life in the best way possible.

I will always be grateful for all this trip has done for me and for what I could do for these very deserving people in the Dominican Republic.

If it were possible for me to go on another trip like this, I would take it in a heart beat. I have been inspired and I would now like to go on and inspire others.
